Invitation to Comment on the Draft of List No. 1 (List of Enzymes) Annexed to the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. ..) B.E. .... Regarding Enzymes for Food Production (No. 2)

As the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently reviewing the list of enzymes used in food production under List No. 1 annexed to the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 443) B.E. 2566, issued under the Food Act B.E. 2522, regarding Enzymes for Food Production.
This revision aims to ensure that the amendments comprehensively cover the list of enzymes, their sources, and conditions of use that have previously been granted case-by-case approval by the Food and Drug Administration. Therefore, it is deemed appropriate to solicit comments and information from food business operators and relevant stakeholders. This will allow the Food and Drug Administration to utilize beneficial observations, comments, and suggestions to appropriately improve and amend the annex of the aforementioned notification.
Key Points of the Amendment
To add types of enzymes, sources of enzymes, and conditions of use to meet the technological necessities of food production, as follows:
- Add new types and sources of enzymes, including their conditions of use.
- Add new sources for existing enzymes and improve their conditions of use.
- Add or update conditions of use for existing enzymes and sources.
