Notice on Public Consultation for Relevant Working Documents of the “Pilot Program for Advancing Research and Application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) (PIONEER Program)”

To support the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry and promote the research and application of new approach methodologies (New Approach Methodologies, NAMs), including organoids and organ-on-a-chip technologies, in drug development, the Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) will launch the “Pilot Program for Advancing Research and Application of New Approach Methodologies (NAMs),” namely the “PIONEER Program” (Propel Innovation and Operation of NAMs to Enhance Efficiency in R&D, PIONEER).

The Center is now publicly soliciting comments on the application guidelines, application form, and implementation framework of the “PIONEER Program.” We sincerely welcome valuable comments and suggestions from all sectors of society regarding the draft documents for public consultation, so that further improvements can be made in the subsequent stages.

The period for public consultation is one month from the date of publication.
