Prof. Aly El Sheikha is an internationally recognized expert with more than 26 years of R&D experience in multidisciplinary scientific fields, especially molecular biology, molecular fingerprinting and markers, diagnostics, microbial ecology, traceability, food quality, and food safety.

A pioneer in food traceability and authenticity verification, Prof. El Sheikha has developed innovative molecular biology technologies capable of creating “biological barcodes” to authenticate and track food products from “field to fork,” contributing to the advancement of Food Traceability 4.0 technologies for combating food fraud and enhancing supply chain transparency.

With more than 100 published scientific papers and recognition among the world’s top 2% of scientists, Prof. El Sheikha has made outstanding contributions to scientific innovation in food safety and traceability.

In this honorary role, Prof. El Sheikha will provide scientific expertise to BYSEE, including but not limited to:
• Advising on scientific assessments, regulatory and safety strategies, and dossier preparation
• Guiding scientific communication, bridging academic research with industrial needs for safety, efficiency, and sustainability
