Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on the Public Consultation on the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft Revision for Comments)

To fully implement the important instructions of President Xi Jinping on the “Four Strictest Requirements” for food safety and to safeguard public health and safety, the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) has drafted the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft Revision for Comments) and is now soliciting public comments.

All relevant organizations and individuals are welcome to submit comments and suggestions on the proposed revisions. The deadline for submitting comments is November 10, 2026. Comments may be submitted through the following channels:

1. Online Submission

Visit the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation (http://www.samr.gov.cn) and submit comments through the “Public Consultation” section under “Interaction” on the homepage.

2. Email Submission

Send comments to hongle@samr.gov.cn, with the email subject line: “Public Consultation on the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft Revision for Comments).”

3. Postal Submission

Mail written comments to the Department of Food Safety Coordination, State Administration for Market Regulation, No. 9 Madian East Road, Haidian District, Beijing, China (Postal Code: 100088).

Please indicate “Public Consultation on the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft Revision for Comments)” on the envelope.
