Registration Guide for the 2025 Tokyo International Symposium on Cultivated Food

BYSEE has been appointed as the exclusive liaison for China at the 2025 International Symposium on Cultivated Food Applications (培養細胞の食品利用に係る国際会議) , to be held at the University of Tokyo’s Komaba Campus from November 13 to 14, 2025. Ms. Ashley Liang Wang, General Manager of BYSEE, will deliver a keynote address highlighting regulatory developments and innovative practices in China and across the Asia-Pacific region.

The symposium is jointly organized by the University of Tokyo’s Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the Japan Association for Cellular Agriculture, and the Cellular Agriculture Working Group of the Public-Private Council for Food Technology. An official from Japan’s Consumer Affairs Agency will share the latest updates from the Subcommittee on Newly Developed Foods under the Food Sanitation Standards Council.

The event will bring together regulators, researchers, and industry leaders from South Korea, Singapore, Europe, the United States, and China and other countries to engage in in-depth discussions on regulatory frameworks, technological innovation, and science communication in the cultivated food sector.

Since 2024, Japan’s Consumer Affairs Agency has prioritized cultivated food on its agenda, holding a series of dedicated discussions. Building on this momentum, the symposium is expected to serve as a key platform for policy alignment and international collaboration. Attendance will be limited to around 200 participants on-site and 100 online, with roundtable sessions and an exhibition area offering valuable opportunities for direct dialogue with experts and regulators. Simultaneous English–Japanese interpretation will ensure smooth communication throughout the event.
